14k Art Deco Enameled Amethyst Ring

A large and heavy c. 1920s Art Deco statement ring, featuring a giant 13 carat natural amethyst encased in a setting of solid white gold enamel-inlaid with geometric color blocks. Chased rococo revival style scrolls and vine tendrils climb from the 14k yellow gold shoulders to the shank. Weighing an impressive 8.3 grams, this is a substantial and well-crafted ring. The enamel inlay to the setting is rather unusual and highly attractive, encapsulating art deco design’s love of geometry as well as bold color juxtapositions.
