Condition: overall very well preserved for a 1780s ring: no loose and missing miniature elements; no water damage or warping or age cracks to sepia painting; cover quartz crystal is clear and generally free from significant surface wear save for a 2 mm shallow scratch (very fine light surface wear is visible under loupe magnification, but not under the naked eye). Some minor age patina to gold, including a few scratches. Some dust to the gum-bound hair surrounding the three-dimensional urn.
