Condition: some enamel loss and restoration to the back of the shank (not visible from the front): three sections of white enamel edging (measuring 5.5 mm, 1.8 mm, 1.7 mm) lost and replaced with later material; two sections (3 mm and 3.3 mm) of blue enamel restored. There’s a shallow scratch to the light blue enameled ring face. General age-related surface wear and patina to the gold. Memorial compartment was originally further reinforced by five tiny pin-sized rivets; only one is in place today (does not affect ring face; it is secure and tightly mounted; most mourning ring compartments do not even have rivet reinforcement).
