Description
Date: c. 1875, Victorian era
Ring size: USA 8.5, UK Q, EU 58 (please note that super wide bands such as this one will feel tighter around the finger than rings with thin shanks. Those with 8-8.25 ring sizes should be able to wear this band just fine; while those for whom 8.5 is normally a tight fit will likely feel uncomfortable wearing this band.)
Material: solid 18k gold
Weight: 6 grams
Marks:
– [crown 18] for solid 18k gold
– [anchor] for the Birmingham assay office
– [a] letter stamp for the year 1875
– [–] illegible maker’s mark
Width of band: 8 mm

Condition: overall this ring is in excellent antique condition; its circular shape is well-preserved without any dents or misshapen flaws. This band has been repolished be a previous owner to restore the shine; due to this, some of the chased details have been slightly worn down. The hallmarks in the interior, due to repolishing, are also somewhat worn (but still visible).
