Diameter of diamond: 4.25 mm (3.5 mm depth) cushion cut, (approx. 0.3 ct)
Approx. clarity of diamond: I1 (some feathers and carbon inclusions to side, 1 x 0.5 mm chip to edge; nonetheless diamond isn’t dull) [Please note that due to imperfect available mining and cutting technologies, antique and historic diamonds are often more ‘flawed’ than modern diamonds when evaluated with contemporary standards & expectations. This however does not deter from their unique beauty.]

Condition: there’s a chip to the side of the diamond (approx. 1 x 0.5 mm area, likely from a cleavage type fracture). The shank appears to have been sized up before: a small section at the very back appears to be later added gold (workmanship is seamless and fine). There is general age-related surface wear to the gold.
