1900s Art Nouveau Floral Old European Cut Diamond Ring

A very rare and gorgeous c. 1900s Art Nouveau / Jugendstil ring, crafted from bloomed, chased, and reticulated solid 14k rose gold and set in the center with a 3 mm Old European cut diamond, which forms the heart of a dogwood blossom. Tendrils of openwork leaves and foliage wrap all the way around the finger, bookended by delightful berries. The goldsmithing workmanship is incredible: every petal, leaf, branch, and vein is crisp, detailed, textured, and rife with naturalism. The line and contour conforms to the Art Nouveau practice of utilizing sinuous curves to suggest linear movement and rhythm.
