Description
Date: c. 1910 – 1920s, Art Nouveau – Deco period
Ring size: USA 6, UK L, EU 51.2 (Resizable via laser welder — see ‘FAQ’ section at bottom of page for more info)
Materials: 14k yellow gold, platinum (setting only), pearls, sapphire (tested to be sapphire, but without full GIA gem report, I can’t make any remarks regarding heat treatment or natural vs synthetic. I’ve however priced this ring with the assumption that the stone, due to the 1910/20s date, is likely a synthetic sapphire.)
Weight: 3.1 grams
Marks:
[14k] for solid 14k gold
Dimension of ring face: 17.8 x 9 mm
Height of ring face: 5.37 mm
Diameter of sapphire: 4.5 mm (approx. 0.36 – 0.4 ct)
Diameter of pearls: 1 mm (smallest) – 1.75 mm (largest)
Width of shank: 1.5 – 2.2 mm
Thickness of shank: 1.7 mm
Condition: Under 60x loupe magnification, I can spot some surface wear along the sapphire facet edges (not visible with the naked eye). There is age-related surface wear to the gold. Otherwise this ring is in excellent antique condition.
