Condition: Overall in good antique condition. The coral is securely mounted and shows no signs of looseness. The diamonds appear to be in good order, with no re-tipping necessary. There is a tight age-related stress line to the very edge of the coral (approx. 4 mm long). There are two tiny pin-sized gaps in the surface, formed as a result of natural surface-reaching knots in the coral’s growth lines. Under 60x magnification, I can spot some minor abrasions to the diamond facet junctions. There is age-related surface wear to the gold.
