Description
Materials: Rhodolite garnets, 14k rose gold (marked at clasp; tested with electronic gold tester)
Weight: 35.3 grams
Length: 122 cm (48 inches)
Width (at widest point): 6.5 mm
Total number of garnets: 94
Dimension of garnets (measured in mm): 6.8 x 5 x 4.5, 7 x 6.7 x 3, 8.4 x 5.5 x 4.7, 8.5 x 5 x 3.6, 5.8 x 5 x 4.2, 6.6 x 5.4 x 3.3 etc
Approx. weight of garnets: 110.54 ctw
Condition: some expected age-related wear to the garnets; under loupe magnification, I can spot some abrasion to the facet junctions, and the pavilion tips/culets of a few stones are worn (loupe visible; not obvious to the naked eye). However, the stones are well preserved for their age; only about 6 of the 94 garnets have a pin-sized nibble; none have significant chips or other damage. Some age-related patina and tarnish to the gold. A few of the jump ring to collet junctions have a touch of later solder reinforcement.
