Description
Materials: quartz crystal, paint pigment, rose cut diamonds, solid 14k yellow gold
Weight: 11.3 grams
Workmanship origin: European continental, possibly Austrian
Marks: [Ant] (to bail) Portuguese import mark for gold articles (meaning this pendant was imported to Portugal at some point in its history)
Height: 29.2 mm (including bail), 23.6 mm (excluding bail)
Width: 23.9 mm
Depth: 9.2 mm
Diameter of diamonds: 1.5 mm (52 total, approx. 0.4 ctw)
Condition: the pin fitting for brooch conversion is missing (as is, this piece currently can be worn as a pendant only; however, a jeweler can make another pin fitting if conversion to a brooch is desired). Under loupe magnification, I can spot some age-related surface wear to the crystal, as well as some nibbles to the girdles of the diamonds (nothing eye-visible). Some age-related patina and surface wear to the gold. Overall in good antique condition.
