Description
Date: c. 1900s / early 20th century, Edwardian era
Ring size: USA 8, UK P, EU 56.5 (resizable via laser welder—please see “FAQ” section below for more details)
Workmanship origin: Italy
Sourced from: Turin (Torino), Italy
Materials: natural untreated Persian turquoise, 18k yellow gold (marked and tested)
Weight: 8.2 grams
Marks: [750] for solid 18k gold (Partial remnant)
Ring face: 20 x 18.6 mm
Height of ring face: 9.7
Diameter of individual turquoise cabochons: 2.75mm
Width of shank: 3 mm
Thickness of shank: 1.14 – 2 mm
Condition: Overall in excellent antique condition. A previous owner had the gold retirely repolished, leading to a glossy finish (the surface will age again over time with wear). Due to age and exposure to the environment, some of the turquoise has darkened to a peacock green (normal and expected for antique Persian turquoise). Under 60x magnification, I can spot some tiny nibbles to the edge of a few cabochon. None of the stones are loose, and the shank has never been resized.
