Edwardian Demantoid Garnet Ring 14k Gold 1910s

An ineffably elegant c. 1910s Edwardian era 14k gold half-hoop ring, with a dramatic openwork gemstone gallery raised 4.4 mm from the finger, and inset with alternating round faceted demantoid garnets and square step-cut red garnets. Could be worn with other rings as a stackable set, or given as an unique anniversary ring!

– two other hallmarks are unreadable due to age wear

Dimension of square-cut red garnets: 3.2 x 3.4 mm (approximately 0.6 carats total)

Diameter of round-cut demantoids: ~3.2 mm (approximately 0.25 – 0.3 carats total)

Dimension of gem-set half hoop: 16 x 3.75 mm

Width of shank: 1.5 – 2.7 mm

Thickness of shank: 0.8 – 1.6 mm

Condition: There are some nibbles to the collet setting, but over all the ring is in superb antique condition. The garnets are all securely set with no loose stones.
