Large Late Victorian Agate Heart Pendant 14k Gold Frame

A stylish and romantic 19th century Victorian heart pendant, crafted from hand-polished agate stone of a translucent whitish tone with natural vermillion red inclusions. The agate was perhaps chosen especially for a heart charm– the creamy, white sections resemble soft tissue, while the veining takes on the appearance of vessels. When held against a light, this pendant almost seem to suggest the beating chambers of a bleeding heart. The mount and frame is 14k gold. I have paired the pendant with a super long 36 in gold-filled chain (included with purchase).
