Condition: the original silver brooch backing was replaced at some point with a solid gold one, with a later brooch fitting. My jeweler has removed this later brooch pin and replaced it with a simple pendant bail-loop. Seven of the sixty-three beads in the border show evidence of later restoration. Otherwise this piece is excellent condition. All chrysoberyls appear to be original. Wear to the gem are minimal; all facet junctions appear crisp to the naked eye, with light wear visible only under 60x magnification. No chips or surface blemishes.
